About Our Founder/CEO
Suzanne M. Russell
Suzanne Russell is a dynamic entrepreneur and visionary leader who founded Over the Moon in 2012. What began as a small half-day preschool quickly evolved under her leadership into a full-day, independent private school serving preschool through elementary students. Known for its forward-thinking curriculum, strong community values, and focus on whole-child development, one school quickly became two, and Suzanne expanded the OTM brand during the height of the covid pandemic. Creating new programs and opportunities for children to learn in the least restrictive environment, Over the Moon became the gold standard in private school education for young learners in the Hudson Valley of New York.

Since the school’s inception, Mrs. Russell served as Head of Schools at OTM, where her leadership, creativity, and unwavering commitment to excellence shaped every aspect of the school’s success. In June of 2025, Mrs. Russell sold Over the Moon to focus on building her next dream, sharing OTM with the world.
With a passion for growth and innovation, Mrs. Russell has founded a consulting firm, EDventure Consulting LLC. Her and her team of carefully selected educators and business professionals support and consult for educators, entrepreneurs, public and private schools so they too can create transformative learning environments such as Over the Moon.
Today, Suzanne uses her career knowledge and expertise to create successes educators and schools worldwide.
